Description

  • Serve as the owner's Project Engineering Manager, providing technical leadership from concept development through commissioning, startup, and handoff to operations.
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts across:
    • Process Engineering
    • Mechanical (Static & Rotating Equipment)
    • Piping & Plant Layout
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Instrumentation & Process Controls
    • Utilities, Offsites, and Infrastructure
  • Manage engineering interfaces between EPC contractors, process licensors, equipment suppliers, and internal project stakeholders.
  • Establish project engineering execution plans, technical procedures, engineering workflows, and corporate standards that can be replicated across future capital projects.
  • Ensure engineering designs comply with company standards, applicable industry codes, regulatory requirements, and process licensor specifications.
  • Lead engineering participation in Process Safety activities including:
    • HAZID
    • HAZOP
    • LOPA
    • SIL Reviews
    • Management of Change (MOC)
  • Drive resolution of technical deviations, engineering risks, and design challenges while maintaining project schedule and budget objectives.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables with procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure construction-ready execution packages.
  • Provide technical oversight for complex packaged equipment and vendor scopes throughout project execution.
  • Build strong relationships while effectively challenging EPC contractors and engineering partners to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
  • Communicate project risks, engineering progress, and critical decisions to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading engineering for large capital projects within chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, refining, energy, or other process industries.
  • Experience serving as a Project Engineering Manager, Lead Technical Integrator, or Engineering Manager on EPC-executed projects exceeding $100 million.
  • Strong understanding of all major engineering disciplines, including process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and utilities.
  • Experience managing engineering activities through FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning, startup, and plant handover.
  • Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), risk-based engineering, and design assurance methodologies.
  • Experience coordinating EPC contractors, process licensors, equipment vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engineering standards, project systems, and best practices that support scalable project execution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally in support of engineering, procurement, fabrication, and project execution activities.
